How long does it take to pack up the house and load up the moving truck?

I’m moving in a few days and we’re doing it ourselves. I’ve already packed about 20 boxes so far, but most of them are books. I still have to pack up the kitchen, bathroom, 2 bedrooms and an office. I’m trying to figure out how long it’ll take to pack up rest of the house and load all of the boxes and furniture into the moving truck. I have a total of 8 rooms in my house. Thanks!
It will take longer than you think, guaranteed! I packed up a six-room house (dining room, living room, kitchen, two bedrooms and an office) and it took at least four or five full days, for some of which I had a couple friends helping. It took two days to load the Budget moving truck I rented with a friend helping. I also had a ton of books and videos. Good luck!

Well, my wife and I have moved 5 times in the last 12 years and I can tell you that it takes about 8 hours to load up and 8 room house on a moving truck. As far as the packing goes, it depends on how fast you can pack up your belongings. My wife and I did it together in 3 days. All in all it took us 4 days to move including packing, loading and unloading the truck.
